Oh, the places you'll go!
Dr Seuss wrote an enchanting book called, "Oh, the places you'll go". The title continues on in verse, "Today is your day, your mountain is waiting, so,....get on your way". Liz and I just got back from a very delightful outdoor quilt show in Glendive Mt, sponsored by the Enchanted Room Quilt Shop and co-hosted by a lovely group of quilters. I thought, after getting packed to go, complete with 4 tables and 2 outdoor canopies (for the sunshine), and about 100 thousand buttons that it would be fun to see how we get to the "places we go". There wasn't a squeak left in the car. Who knew buttons could take up so much room.
We have been in drought conditions so when it called for rain, we were all thankful. No one complained about the much needed rain. The ladies didn't skip a beat. The quilts were displayed over the pews in the sanctuary of the United Methodist Church. Built in 1910, the stained glass and the quilts were in complete harmony. We set up in the social hall and kept cool and dry and had a delightful day.
Oh the places we've gone....and I think Liz would agree that getting there is half the fun.
