Simply Gorgeous-Cabachon Set in Faceted Purple Glass

I am in love with this set of four cabochon set in faceted purple glass buttons.  They rate in my top ten of favorite finds and I couldn't wait to share them.  They represent a time when buttons were works of art and craftsmanship mattered.  If we didn't have a no hoard policy on buttons, these gems would be in my jewelry box.  I found a few snips of purple thread on one of the shanks.  I can imagine these buttons on a purple wool.  Each button measures 7/8 of an inch and has a four-way metal box shank.
